For many years they have carried on a tradition ~ Every morning at 8:30am (9:30am on Sat and Sun) a voice comes over the speaker and EVERYONE there rises and recites the Pledge of Allegiance! It was an amazing thing to be a part of! Kudos to "Chick and Ruth's" for STANDING for something. . .for making a difference and believing in traditions!!

March Madness Continues. . . .with good things!

Did you know. . . .March is also "Nat'l Nutrition Month" and this year's theme is "Eat Right With Color"!!

Initiated in 1973, "Nat'l Nutrition Week" became a month long observance in 1980 in response to growing public interest in nutrition ~ A great reminder for EVERYONE to get a colorful variety of fruits, veggies, whole grains, lean proteins and dairy ~ every day!!!
(There are tons of good sites online as I'm sure you all know ~ One good one is EatRight.org! ~ Happy colorful eating today and each day to all of you!

March is Women's History Month!! Happy WW!

The Theme for 2011 is ~ "Our History is Our Strength" “Our shared history unites families, communities, and nations. Although women’s history is intertwined with the history shared with men, several factors - social, religious, economic, and biological - have worked to create a unique sphere of women's history.”
