The Theme for 2011 is ~ "Our History is Our Strength" “Our shared history unites families, communities, and nations. Although women’s history is intertwined with the history shared with men, several factors - social, religious, economic, and biological - have worked to create a unique sphere of women's history.”
Not a totally "Wordless" post, I know ~ but such an important event and some history you should all know ! Enjoy reading up and finding out about Nat'l Women's History month!

Good. Nice to have an excuse to celebrate awesome women of the past...present and future. :)
I have a collection of family histories...my ancestors have done some amazing things, but mostly just by living the lives they wanted. The histories of the women are sparse...I wish I could have more of their thoughts and feelings also.
Thanks for coming by. I had no idea it was Women's History Month... Thanks for the tip :) Please, come back again soon.
Hooray for Women's History Month!

Thank you for the reminder about Women's History Month. The poet Muriel Rukeyser has a line about the universe is not made of atoms/it is made of stories, which resonates with this year's theme.
That is really cool!
Have a great Wednesday!

Wow that's cool. I didn't know March was woman's history month.
Thanks for sharing.
I teach women's studies at a local university so this is right up my alley!!! Thanks for posting!
I didn't even know there was a national women's history month...I'll be following your link to see what I've been missing! Thanks :)
What a great idea for a month!
Hope you enjoy the rest of the week and happy St Patrick's day!
Best wishes,
Natasha.
I just added your feed to my favorites. I really enjoy reading your posts.
I just finished reading about Nellie Bly, quite the Lady and what she accomplished, there are so many great women to read about.
Add me to the list that didn't know it was national women's history month! But shouldn't we be celebrated, seriously?
Happy Monday!
We are truly strength in numbers and it is our history that makes us who we are today. In that we should give our daughters also a history to be proud of~
Great message :)
Have a wonderful weekend . . . Gina
