Aloha Friday Means the Weekend Has Begun!

We all LOVE our Aloha Friday's and the start of our week-ends! Don't forget to "island hop" on over to An Island Life ~ where the celebration of Aloha Friday began and to find out more information about participating! Happy Weekend to all!
My question this week is:
If you were able to speak to one person from your past right this second, (living or deceased), who would it be and why? (And if ya have time ~ What would you say??)

(My answer is: My Mama ( "mommy") ~" I love you so much and wished I lived closer and could just drop by and pick you up for lunch today! Living far away is so hard the older we get ~ so I am sorry for the distance, but hope you know how much you mean to me every minute of the day!")
P.S. The Meme thingy for Mr. Linky & aloha Friday appears to not be working correctly, so just click below on the right to see the other links that have signed and to add your link ~ But still leave your comments too!!!)

My grandfather. He passed away within a week of his first chemo treatment. Us kids were not told of his illness so when he was on his deathbed, we were finally told. Our parents all thought they were protecting us but in reality it made it harder for us to accept his quick death.

I miss him and I wish he could have met my son.

Happy Friday and thanks for stopping by with your suggestions.

I would talk to my grandma and tell her how much I loved her and then introduce her to my husband and kids. She died suddenly and I didn't get a chance to say goodbye.

I would also say my grandmother. I would let her know just how much I love and appreciate all the things shes done for me. And I would introduce her to my youngest daughter the only who didn't have the privilege of meeting her.

My brother. He passed away at 17 in 1988. I miss him horribly still. I would just let him know how much we have missed him being in our lives and tell him about all of his nieces and nephews he never got to meet. He only met two of them. I would also tell him about his new great nephew who is name sake, which is my grandson. I would tell him about how many of his friends has named their children after him. Along with the fact that he has both a niece and nephew named after him too. I would love to see and talk to him again.

First person who popped into my head was my grandmother. We lost her last October and she always had such a level-headed way about her...we usually didn't even talk, though. I would go visit once a week, and we would sit together and watch her grandbabies play on the carpet.

(Thanks for stopping by Bubba Bubbles! You said that this blog was for networking your boutique...can I offer some advice? If you have an e-mail address that you don't mind giving to strangers, I would add it to your profile so that other bloggers can respond personally to your comments...I've made ALL of my bloggy friends that way, and it's just nice to have that personal interaction. If you don't know how to hook it up, then let me know and I'll help. :-))

I'm off to peek at your boutique!

Definately my mom, she passed away when she was 55 years young, and there are tons of things I'd want to say/ask her! (coincidently, today is her birthday so I'd start with "happy birthday, mom") I have some old family photographs that I would love to hear the stories behind. I'd also ask her to write down some of her recipe's!

My Dad. He lives about 1500 miles away and I'm usually too busy with my baby girl to pick up the phone.

Wow, great question! I would say my GPA. He died 9 years ago and I miss him terribly still. I would tell him about my husband, whom he never met but is exactly like my GPA! I would tell him about the wedding, about my daughter...just talk about whatever came up.

Hope you have a great day!

My best friend, Jan. She lives all the way in Texas and I'm in Alberta, Canada! I miss her so much. We wouldn't say much of anything, we would just laugh A LOT, cause that's what we do best!

thanks for visiting my blog and commenting. I would love to see my grandmother. She has been gone a long time and we have a daughter now and life is good. I would want to share all the photos and tell her everything.

I think I would want to talk to my great grandma Francis. She died when I was 5 so my only memory of her is that she sat in a chair in our family room. But my family tells such great stories about her that I would love to remember her better.
