Happy Aloha Friday! Don't forget to click on over to An Island Life to read more about Aloha Fridays! My question for today is:
If you could leave right now for a "get-away" weekend" that was within driving distance from where you live, where would you go?
(Hmm. . . my answer would be: The Outer Banks (Nags Head, NC) in the Corolla area ~ Just me and my hubby hanging out on the beach under an umbrella with my coffee and a good book and lots of strolls on the beach and late night walks under the moonlight. . . . .Ahhhhhhh!!!)

I would head to Indianapolis!
I would head to where there isn't any rain for a golfing weekend with the hubster! *L*
I would head to the beach. For something a little closer, I would stay at the lodge at Guntersville State Park.
When I read your answer I recognized the name from reading CF Husband.
I would love to go to Niagara Falls!
i'm so jealous you live within driving distance of OBX. i would probably drive to phoenix (real beachy, i know) and SHOP!
Niagra Falls.
I would probably take an hour drive to Atlantic Beach NC, The outer Banks are about an hour and a half, but I like Atlantic beach better!
I would head to the beach. I need to sit with my toes in the sand, hear the crashing of waves, and just feel peaceful.
I'd drive the 13 hrs to the ocean. I want to put my feet in the ocean and walk along the beach. Relaxation is a must this weekend!!!
Our family is headed to a favourite campground/lake tomorrow morning for the weekend! It's only an hour and a half away. I'm looking forward to just playing with my kids and eating s'mores by the campfire!
No doubt about it, to the beach!!
I think I would have to head to Niagara Falls! Niagara on the Lake actually. It's so cute and lovely.
Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today! I love discovering new reads:)
as large as united states is, pretty much the whole of it is within driving if you have a really really fast car... well except for hawaii, unfortunately and it's where i want to go! ;)
WIthin driving distance thats no fun. I guess we'd just go to Navy Pier for fireworks and FUN
I would spend the weekend at the Ihilani Resort and Spa. It's beautiful there!
I would go relax in Santa Barbara. Sounds great!
Annapolis, Maryland. I LOVE it there. It's about an hour from my northern Virginia home & so beautiful!
Btw, I wanted to let you know that I used a parenting quote you left on my blog a couple weeks back. It's under the ParentingPink.com "Tip of the Week" box this week! I've also left you a link :-) Thanks for contributing such a great tip for our readers! - Elizabeth :-)
Please excuse my commenting here unrelated to your above post (will pop back for that).
Overhauled (sweating bullets cause I'm tech savy), blog and really need some feedback.

I would definitely head to L.A.! Beach, beach, and more beach for me! :-)
Thanks for stopping by my blog the other day!
For me it would be a trip to Hocking Hills in a log cabin. It's only about an hour from here and we enjoy the peacefulness of the place.
Your get away sounds nice too.
Sandy
I second the Outer Banks. Sounds lovely! It's been a while since I've been.
I would go over to Morehead City. We had so much fun the last time we went, that I would lvoe to do it again.
Seabrook Island, SC!
I'd head to the beach too!
*photo was taken at the back of our house. :) Happy weekend.
What a fun question!
It wouldn't really be my top choice, but I'd head to Branson. Being smack in the middle of Kansas, there's really nowhere within driving distance that is tropical, which is what I'd really want.
Great Wolf Lodge. Water fun and I wold not have to drive anywhere else. Have that drink and relax by the pool and Tiki bar.AHhhhhh
I've popped in multiple times, but keep seeing no update; decided to leave a note today anyway. Hope things are alright.
