Did you know? ~ MARCH is Women's History Month!

Did you know that March is Women's History Month?? I didn't! (Thanks to Marybeth over at Blogmania, I have been able to find tons of fun facts and information on this subject!) From WomensHistoryMonth.gov ~ "The Library of Congress, National Archives and Records Administration, National Endowment for the Humanities, National Gallery of Art, National Park Service, Smithsonian Institution and United States Holocaust Memorial Museum join in paying tribute to the generations of women whose commitment to nature and the planet have proved invaluable to society."

A Resolution was passed in 1987 to expand the celebration of Women's History to the entire month of March & has been approved every year since then! This year's theme honors women who have taken the lead in the environmental or “green” movement. Here's to all the amazing women we know!!

P.S. Also, thanks to Julie for the Friendship Award! :)

Thanks for stopping by and reading my blog. That list took forever to compile with all of the links (I have one for each month)

Congrats on your award.

Not sure if my comment took so this may be a duplicate post

I never knew about the whole month being a celebration of women's history! What does this mean? That I'm out of it, or that it is just recently getting more recognition? Don't feel like you have to answer that :) Thanks for a great post.
